The policing case study will focus on the relationships between police and religious communities in Australia, exploring both the management of potential points of tension, and on-going community policing practices designed to engage religious communities. Interviews are being conducted with police officers in Tasmania and Victoria. Additional interviews are also being conducted with stakeholders about their interactions with police in their state. These interviews will help us to map the range and diversity of policing policies and practices in relation to religion around Australia.
